Pro-life activist set to speak at churches

Father Peter J. West, a priest associate with Priests for Life and a pro-life activist since 1986, will speak at a variety of venues May 3-6.

Father West founded and directed Amicus, a young-adult Catholic group. He has preached and counseled on abortion and has dissuaded women from having abortions. His visit is sponsored by the Focus Pregnancy Help Center and RochesterProLife.org.

He will speak at 7 p.m. May 3 at St. John of Rochester Church, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport, and at 7 p.m. May 4 at St. Joseph Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. He will lead the rosary at 10 a.m. May 5 in front of Planned Parenthood at 114 University Ave. in Rochester. He also will concelebrate the 12:10 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Victory, 210 Pleasant St., Rochester. Father West will give the homily at all the Masses May 5 and 6 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1355 Hatch Road, Penfield.
