Project solicits items for farmworkers

Good Shepherd Catholic Community in southern Cayuga County is collecting personal-care products, food and certain gently used personal items for the region’s migrant farmworkers.

The Catholic community is soliciting donations of gently used blankets, pots, pans, Crock-Pots, eating and cooking utensils, bowls, manual can openers, small televisions, radios, fans, Bibles, videos, CDs, DVDs, kitchen chairs, small rugs, jewelry, scarves and mirrors. Donations of new bar soap, baby powder, body powder, lotion, baby wipes and travel-size toiletries also will be accepted.

To make a donation or learn more about this project, contact Debbie Patrick at 315/497-2049.
