Providence Housing Development Corp., an affiliate of diocesan Catholic Charities, and East House Corp. are accepting rental applications from families at up to half of the area median income for affordable one-bedroom apartments.
The apartments, at Paul Wolk Commons, 435 State St., Rochester, will be available for occupancy in spring 2012. Applications will be ordered by a random lottery and should be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, to East House or Providence’s office at 1136 Buffalo Road, Rochester.
The property features 24-hour staffing and security, onsite property management and maintenance, central air, laundry facilities, community room, game and television lounge, library, fitness center, interior and exterior courtyards, and onsite parking. The apartments will have energy-efficient appliances, wall-to-wall carpeting, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Five of the units are wheelchair accessible, and two units are adapted for the hearing or visually impaired. Smoking will be prohibited.
