Help raise money for Rochester’s youths during the 16th-annual Run for the Young 5K road race and one-mile fun run at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Road, Greece.
The road race is open to all ages, and the 5K race takes place on a flat certified course. The race features more than $500 in cash awards to the top three male and female open and masters runners, plus 90 medals awarded to age group winners. There is a large post-race party, free T-shirts and more than $2,000 in door prizes.
Proceeds benefit the Bishop Matthew Clark Youth Advocacy Fund, which supports youth-ministry programs in the diocese.
