To mark its second year of operation, the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network is hosting a dinner and silent auction at Church of the Transfiguration, 50 W. Bloomfield Road, Pittsford, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 23.
With the assistance of 1,200 volunteers, RAIHN aids families through housing crises by connecting them with housing, jobs, and other services. While in the RAIHN program, families live with various faith communities, including Catholic parishes. The children continue to attend school, and their parents either stay in their jobs or find new employment.
