* Tioga County Rural Ministry recently received a $7,000 grant from the Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation. This funding will assist TCRM’s efforts in providing emergency assistance to low-income Tioga County seniors in need of such necessities as utilities, car and home repair, prescriptions and other medical needs.
* Tom Santulli and John Olisky were honored by Elmira Notre Dame High School at the 10th-annual McAuley Award Dinner Oct. 13. Santulli, a 1967 Notre Dame graduate, serves as Chemung County Executive. Olisky has taught at the high school since 1981.
* Mary Solometo, a parishioner of St. Mary Our Mother in Horseheads, celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 12.
