Registration has begun for the 12th annual Diocesan Youth Convention, set for Aug. 13-14 at Rochester’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The convention is open to youths entering grades 9-12 and recent high-school graduates. This year’s theme, “Inspired by the Fire,” invites young people to reflect on how the Holy Spirit is working in their lives. Serving as keynoter will be Mike Patin, a popular speaker from New Orleans, La.
Also included are an opening program with Bishop Matthew H. Clark, prayer walk along the Genesee River, cultural-exchange dinner at urban parishes, outdoor reconciliation service and late-night “fun-for-all,” all on Saturday; and workshops and Mass on Sunday.
