Participants are being requested for a team that will represent Steuben County Rural Ministry in the American Cancer Society’s Hornell Relay for Life.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 18. Relay for Life involves continuous overnight walking around a track by teams that have raised funds to support the fight against cancer. It begins with a survivors’ walk; later in the evening, those who have died of cancer or are survivors are honored with luminaries. Caregivers also are recognized.
