To the editor:
When will the energy and passion about abortion be focused on the respect and sacredness of our intimate human relationships? Why is it that we obsess on our failure to control the passions instead of considering the spiritual benefits of responsible sexual behavior? Does not thoughtless sexual behavior precede abortion? Is sexual arousal an air-born pathogen that is beyond our control? Who will speak to these issues? Who will remind us that we are not like mice and rabbits? Will we hear it from the pulpit? Will we see it in the Catholic press?
