A day of prayer will be held Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Notre Dame Retreat House, located at 5151 Foster Road in Canandaigua. The theme for the day of prayer is “Praying Our Way Through Advent,” and throughout the day Sister of St. Joseph Carole Proia and Nancy Lynch will share their thoughts on Advent and suggest ways to enhance participants’ experience of the season.
The event will begin with registration at 9 a.m., at which time participants may help themselves to coffee and muffins. The conference portion of the day will begin at 9:30 and go until noon, when participants will break for lunch. At 1 p.m. they will have the chance to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation, and they will regroup for a concluding Mass at 2 p.m.
