Canandaigua Lake Chamber Music Festival recently announced the organization’s summer-season schedule, which includes two festival concerts at Notre Dame Retreat House, 5151 Foster Road in Canandaigua.
The Corigliano Quartet will perform an eclectic sampling of works by American composers during the American Voices festival concert, which will be held at Notre Dame Retreat House at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18, with a pre-concert chat at 7 p.m. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Quintet will perform at the retreat house Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m., with a student ensemble prelude concert at 7 p.m.
World-renowned tenor Robert White, pianist Norman Carey, violinist Curtis Macomber and a piano quartet will put on a concert Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Canandaigua Baptist church, 5026 North Road in Canandaigua. Violinist Elisa Barston, cellist Amy Sue Barston and violist Edward Klorman will perform the last concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27, also at the Baptist church. A student ensemble prelude concert will kick off each performance at 7 p.m.
Tickets for each of the four concerts are $22 for the general public and $17 for full-time students and senior citizens 65 and older.
The organization also is sponsoring several community events, including an Aug. 19 master class for student ensembles; an Aug. 23 interactive chamber-music concert and barbecue; an Aug. 24 free community concert; and an Aug. 26 children’s concert.
