Retreats offered at Catholic center in Seneca County

Three retreats are being offered this summer at Branches Christian Rest and Renewal Center, a Catholic ministry located on Seneca Lake in Lodi, Seneca County.

Upcoming retreats are:

  • Friday, July 31 — “Glimpses into the Life of St. Francis.” During this jubilee year, marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, Sister Kathleen Murphy, OSF, will serve as presenter. In addition, Father Brendan Buckley, OFM Cap., will offer confession and Mass.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20 — “Partakers of the Divine Nature.” Deacon Ward Nolan and Jayne Badano-Bidwell will help explore what sacred Scripture, the catechism, the church fathers and the saints reveal about Christ’s divinity and how he intimately shares this mystery with us. Deacon Ward will conduct a closing Communion service.
  • Saturday, Sept. 12 — “Entering the Incarnation with Mary.” Using Gospel texts, quotes and various art forms, Ann Kern will focus on the events of the Annunciation and Christ’s infancy through Mary’s lived experiences. Father George Bastedo IV will offer confession and Mass.

Each retreat will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit www.branchescenter.org or call 716-901-4313 for more information.
