One of the many things I missed out on last year due to obvious reasons was an annual assignment covering diocesan Catholic schools’ field days and end-of-the-year events. It’s work I always look forward to: I get outside, the kids are photogenic, they’re having fun and that makes my job fun.
I’m happy I could return to that tradition this year — even if it meant sometimes getting beamed in the head with a stray bean bag — by visiting St. Michael School in Penn Yan, St. Rita School in Webster and St. Pius Tenth School in Chili.
