Okay, so it’s not officially spring, but each March I find myself back at Becket Hall, the diocesan residence for men discerning a call to the priesthood. I go there to meet the residents and to take their photos for upcoming vocations coverage as well as for posters that promote vocations awareness.
And so I was there again yesterday, shooting head shots and portraits and candid photos and getting a brief glimpse into the prayer lives and everyday lives of men who hope to one day be priests.
I also photographed and joked with the director of Becket Hall, Father Williams Coffas, whose priestly ordination I photographed many years ago. He’s always very welcoming and puts everyone at ease, it makes my job easy. We talked about the warming weather and getting some much-needed vitamin-D. It finally felt like spring.
