Deacon George Dardess, a pioneer in building relationships between Christians and Muslims, will give a presentation titled “A Catholic Meets Islam” at St. John School in Clyde from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11.
The speaker is a deacon at Rochester’s Blessed Sacrament Parish and has studied Islam for more than a decade. He is the author of several books about the Catholic and Muslim faiths, and his latest book, Do We Worship the Same God? The Bible and the Qur’an Compared, was published in 2006.
The presentation will be the sixth in this year’s Family Education Program, which is a series of monthly presentations sponsored by St. John the Evangelist Parish in Clyde and St. Patrick Parish in Savannah.
