Rochester group that includes SSJs sets Black Lives Matter events

Rochester’s Allies and Elders group, which includes several Sisters of St. Joseph, is inviting others to take part in a Black Lives Matter gathering of silent witness Nov. 7 from noon to 1 p.m. in Pittsford at the intersection of Monroe Avenue (Route 31) and Clover Street (Route 65).

The group wants to share the message of Black Lives Matter throughout Monroe County and will be conducting a similar gathering Nov. 14 from noon to 1 p.m. at Brighton’s Twelve Corners on the center island at the intersection of Monroe and Elmwood avenues and Winton Road. Another such gathering will take place Nov. 21 from noon to 1 p.m. in Rochester at the corner of Monroe Avenue and Culver Road.

Those interested in participating are invited to bring peaceful signs to demonstrate their desire for a peace-filled world.
