All are invited to take part in the sixth-annual Rosary Rally set for Saturday, Oct. 10, in Honeoye Falls.
The event will begin at noon at Harry Allen Park, located in the village’s center. It will last approximately 90 minutes and feature a band playing religious and patriotic songs. Also, 50 blue balloons and 10 red balloons will be released, signifying rosary beads for which Hail Marys and Our Fathers are recited. Toward the rally’s conclusion, "We will release the rosary up into the sky, up to heaven," said Kathy Worboys, event organizer.
Organized annually by parishioners of St. Paul of the Cross, Honeoye Falls; St. Rose, Lima; and St. Agnes, Avon, the rosary rally is part of the national America Needs Fatima Public Square Rosary Crusade. This initiative seeks to have 14,000 rosary rallies take place Oct. 10.
