Rural ministry offers help to flood victims

Tioga County Rural Ministry continues to offer flood assistance for those in need.

If you are a Tioga County resident and a victim of the late-June flooding of the Susquehanna River, TCRM may be able to lend financial help based on many donations it has received that are marked specifically for flood assistance.

“We wish to say ‘thank you’ to these donors, as well as those that are consistent donors. We are truly blessed and we can not give anything that has not first been given to us,” TCRM officials said in a statement.

Financial-assistance consideration is given between 10:30 a.m. and noon and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call TCRM at 607/687-3021 and ask to speak with a staff person. In addition, the rural ministry’s food pantry is open from 10:30 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If these hours are not convenient due to conflicts with work, call and make an appointment to meet with a staff person.

TCRM is located at 60 North Ave., Owego.
