Members of the Rush-Henrietta Catholic Community got to know each other better during a cruise-themed dinner dance on the "Guardian of the Seas" ship Jan. 23 at Guardian Angels Parish Hall.
The event, which drew more than 240 people from Guardian Angels and Good Shepherd parishes in Henrietta and St. Joseph Parish in Rush, is one of more than 30 programs and activities that the three parishes have collaborated on in preparation for clustering in June.
The event was organized by the three parishes’ "Fun-Raising" Committee," which supplied hors d’oeuvres. Leave-It-To-Us Catering provided a buffet. The evening was topped off with entertainment involving people from all three parishes, a "Chinese auction" and dancing to music provided by DJ Chris Scribani.
