During the March 31 Chrism Mass at Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bishop Salvatore R. Matano blessed the Oil of the Sick, designated for the anointing of the sick; the Oil of the Catechumens, for baptism; and the Holy Chrism, for confirmation and ordination. These sacred oils will be used by diocesan parishes throughout the upcoming year.
