St. Michael School in Newark will hold the Wayne County Jewelry, Gem, Mineral and Fossil show and sale Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the school, 320 Main St.
The event will feature jewelry, beads, crystals, fossils and minerals from around the world. There also will be glass-bead-making demonstrations and displays by the Wayne County Gem and Mineral Club. There also will be door prizes and free children’s activities. Participants also will be able to purchase custom wire-wrapped jewelry from Jim Fowler, a nationally known artist who travels to dozens of shows around the nation each year.
The show is the 2007 convention for the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies Inc.
Admission to the show is $3, and children 12 and under will be admitted free.
