To the editor:
The article “Hosts OK for celiac sufferers” (October monthly issue, page A10) puzzled me. While reading it, I kept wondering about a sip of consecrated wine and another possibility.
Toward the end of the article Father Daniel Condon, diocesan Chancellor, did mention the option of wine.
I also wondered if a portion or fragment of the host wouldn’t minimize the amount of gluten to a safe level.
In this “Year of the Eucharist” may celiac sufferers have the joy of Corpus Christi.
