To the editor:
I make well more than minimum wage, and yet still find it a challenge to eat well, live comfortably, and enjoy some of the conveniences of life. Every human being deserves the right to at least lead a simple, functional, healthy life. It is our responsibility to see that every person has this chance. If the minimum wage is not increased, at least to $7.25/hour, then the divide between the “haves” and “have nots” will continue to broaden to a truly destructive degree.
