To commemorate Catholic Schools Week, Seton Catholic School in Brighton gave back to the community through various service projects.
The school collected more than 1,000 cans of food for Foodlink during a weeklong canned food drive. On Jan. 30, some Seton families gathered at Foodlink to sort and prepare boxes of food to distribute to those in need.
In addition to the Foodlink service project, the students also collected new socks for students at Rochester City School No. 34; made Valentines for homebound parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes in Brighton and St. Anne Church in Rochester; and prepared hot meals for the homeless at the REACH shelter.
