This is a photo I took while on assignment at St. Mary’s Parish in Canandaigua. There’s a lot of waiting involved in photojournalism. If you’re not waiting for the assignment to start, you’re waiting for the action, waiting for the moment or waiting for a phone call. This time I was a little early so I wandered the house for a minute and noticed this small crucifix hanging in a dark room. For me, the shadow and lighting make it interesting.
