School Sister of Notre Dame Mary Cecilia Dunn, 91, died June 20, 2003, at the Lourdes Health Center, Wilton, Conn.
Born to Rochester natives Walter and Julia (Rappl) Dunn, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Catholic University. Her teaching career spanned more than 40 years and included an assignment at St. Michael School, Rochester (1957-67). She retired in 1993.
Sister Dunn is survived by her cousins, Sister Joan Maier, SSND, of Baltimore, Claire Lockhart of Rochester, and Eileen Short of Brookfield, Wis.
Her funeral liturgy was held on June 23 in the Provincial Motherhouse Chapel in Wilton, Conn., with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel, Conn. Memorials may be made to SSND Development Fund, Wilton, CT 06897.
