In recognition of the wonderful and diverse work done by women religious in our community the Courier interviewed three long-serving nuns, each with her own unique life experiences shaped by a commitment to the Gospel message. On Mondays through May 23 we will post audio slideshows depicting these women.
Sister Maria Kellner is one of nine children, so maybe it’s no surprise that she’s been tough enough to live a productive, fulfilling life while battling multiple sclerosis. Sister Kellner, who started religious life as a teacher, was forced to retire from teaching because of MS but has since found many outlets for her spiritual and creative energies, including photography.
