Three guest speakers will give short presentations about end-of-life issues March 8 at Clifton Springs Hospital, 2 Coulter Road in Clifton Springs. This sixth installment of the St. Felix/St. Francis Parish Cluster’s Faith and Life Series will focus on the practical and spiritual dimensions of end-of-life issues.
Carol Wood, from the House of John hospice-care facility in Clifton Springs, will talk about the local resources available to families facing decisions about end-of-life issues. Gail Conners, coordinator of volunteers and spiritual care at Clifton Springs Hospital, will discuss coping skills and spiritual support for the terminal patient and his or her family. Mercy Sister Anne Malloy, a founder of Mercy Center with the Aging, will address the way Christianity is tied to end-of-life issues.
Refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m., and the program will start at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
