St. Agnes 9/11 remembrance ceremony

St. Agnes School held a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 11, 2015 in the Avon Circle Park.

Students, teachers, Principal Dr. Gerald Benjamin, Father Michael Fowler, Avon Mayor Tom Freeman, Livingston County Sheriff Tom Dougherty, local Veterans from The Legion Post #294 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5292, Patriot Guard Riders, First Responders and Community processed to the park led by bagpiper Mary Taylor.

The group participated in prayers and patriotic poems and songs. Dr. Gerald Benjamin and Mayor Tom Freeman gave reflections. Our featured speaker was Livingston County Sheriff Tom Dougherty. It was a moving, poignant remembrance of those that lost their lives as well a time to honor our First Responders for their service.
