A remembrance ceremony was held in Avon’s Circle Park Sept. 11.  The event was sponsored by St. Agnes School and the Village of Avon and included members of Joseph Gallipeau Legion Post # 294 and Veterans of Foreign Wars #5292. Students interviewed their heroes (Family members who serve or have served in the military or first responders) and presented a short quote from them on why they serve our community and country.  The Patriot Guard Riders present created an honor line for the procession and did a ride around the village’s circle.
