St. Agnes School students celebrate Halloween
St. Agnes School in Avon celebrated Halloween by holding a costume parade and a Trick or Trunk event at school on Wednesday October 31st.
All the students from grades PreK to Kindergarten through Grade 6 donned fun and creative costumes to parade around school. There were princesses and super heroes as well as some fun creative costumes such as a grape soda and the chick-a-fil cow. The 6th grade always dresses in a theme and this year they were characters from Dora the Explorer. Everyone headed outside, despite the damp weather to our Trick or Trunk event. 12 parent cars lined up along the sidewalk and opened their trunk filled with decorations! From skeletons to graveyards to a Star Wars trunk to a shark, the cars were decorated for fun and safe trick or treating! The parents and teachers got into costumes as well with Principal Ms. Elizabeth Jensen as Maleficent plus Star Wars characters, Superheroes, Skeletons and Disney Characters.
Students will be donating some of their Trick or Treating Candy to be sent to former St. Agnes Alumnus Corpsman Marty Cole, who is training to be a Navy medic, for him to share with his unit.
