St. James Mercy CEO to leave his position

Clarence R. LaLiberty Jr., president/CEO of St. James Mercy Health System in Hornell, will be leaving his position after the new year, the health system announced Nov. 18.

LaLiberty, who has worked at St. James Mercy since September 2001, has accepted the position of president/CEO at St. Francis Healthcare System in Wilmington, Del. Both St. James Mercy and St. Francis Healthcare System are member hospitals of Catholic Health East.

According to a press release from St. James Mercy, the health system will immediately begin the search process for a new president/CEO.
