A Rochester Catholic school welcomed a new principal in January.
Jacqueline Acosta-Senecal began serving as principal at St. John Neumann School in Rochester Jan. 1, after the retirement of Principal Marie Arcuri.
Acosta-Senecal previously served at the Wayne Central School District in a variety of roles, including summer school assistant principal and coordinator of the district’s International Baccalaureate program. She chaired and taught in the district’s Spanish department for 14 years.
"She comes well-qualified, and she has dug right in," said Father Robert Schrader, pastor of Peace of Christ Parish, which includes St. John Neumann School.
Acosta-Senecal received a bachelor’s degree in modern language from SUNY Buffalo and a master’s degree in secondary education from Nazareth College.
