St. Joseph School recently held its annual Science and Social Studies Fair. Fifth- and sixth-graders presented dozens of projects during a Catholic Schools Week open house Jan. 30.
For the Science Fair portion, sixth-graders assembled into groups and developed an experiment using the scientific method. They came up with a hypothesis and then a conclusion. The experiment tested their hypothesis. Eighteen science projects were on display.
For the Social Studies Fair, fifth-graders selected a state and developed a state binder covering everything related to that state. For the fair, students selected an important highlight to present on their tri-board. Forty social studies projects were on display.
