A free "community-wellness event" is being offered for area residents on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Cusick Meeting Room of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elmira.
Health professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar and bone densitometry. Free colorectal-cancer screening kits and breast-cancer screening service information also will be available.
Seating is limited. Call 607-733-6541, ext. 6283, by Monday, Oct. 15, in order to make a reservation and determine eligibility for any of the free screenings.
