Students, teachers, faculty, parents and church staff came together Sept. 7 for a special Mass celebrating the start of the school year for children at St. Louis School in Pittsford. The Mass was followed by an outdoor butterfly release and blessing by Father Robert Ring. The school’s theme is “Roots in Faith, Wings of Peace,” and principal Diana Duell says events like this help form important bonds between the church and the school.
