St. Mary’s School in Waterloo is looking for volunteers to help build the school’s new playground.
The school has raised more than $13,600, and the money was used to purchase a modular playground, which includes two swings, two slides and climbing apparatus. More playground equipment will be purchased as more money is raised.
In April, excavation work was done at the site of the playground, which is located behind St. Mary’s School. The playground equipment will be delivered in mid-June, and construction of the playground will begin shortly after that.
The playground will be named after the late Robert Cook and his family. Cook, a longtime St. Mary’s parishioner, passed away last year; his family still belongs to St. Mary’s Parish.
Those interested in helping build the playground or contributing to the project in any way may contact St. Mary’s School at 315/539-3772.Tags: Seneca County News
