The Dec. 9 Mass at St. Matthew Church in Livonia was attended by two special guests: Bishop Emeritus Matthew H. Clark, who celebrated the Mass, and St. Nicholas, who left the children of the parish gifts in their shoes and explained the traditions of his feast day. Bishop Clark also was presented with a quilt made by the women of the St. Mary, Honeoye/St. Matthew faith community as a retirement gift.
