The state will provide $40,000 to install a personal emergency-response system at Webster’s Cherry Ridge, a St. Ann’s Community. The grant was recently announced by state Sen. Michael Nozzolio, R-Fayette.
The system features alarm pendants for residents to summon help, voice-to-voice capacity for staff to speak with a resident who cannot reach a telephone, a wander-guard system to help protect those in the dementia-care unit and integrated smoke detectors.
