Lorene Hanley Duquin, who edits the Our Sunday Visitor “Faith on the Go” series, is the featured speaker for the 2009 Stewardship Day from 8 a.m. to noon May 9 at Church of the Assumption in Fairport.
Duquin has worked in parishes and on a diocesan level and is a frequent speaker on stewardship and evangelization at conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada. She is author of six books including A Century of Catholic Converts and When a Loved One Leaves the Church.
In addition to a keynote address on stewardship and evangelization by Duquin, Bishop Matthew H. Clark will speak on the joy of stewardship. Duquin also will lead workshops on stewardship and style and Mass attendance. Representatives of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Churchville will speak about sacrificial giving, and representatives of Church of the Assumption will show how they use technology as a stewardship and evangelization tool.
Registration is $10 per person through April 30, and late registration is $12 per person and will end May 5. Fees include a continental breakfast.
