Students from several area high schools and colleges will be taking part in a pro-life conference from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the University of Rochester’s River Campus.
Topics will include: "The scientific proof of life beginning at conception," "Making the case for being pro-life," "What can I do if I find out a friend is pregnant," and "A personal account of post-abortion trauma."
Although the event is geared toward high-school and college students, it is open to all. Pizza and snacks will be provided. There will be a T-shirt design contest, a button-design station and a table for writing advocacy letters. Multiple organizations will be promoting volunteer opportunities as well.
Space is limited, and registration opens Sunday, March 6. For details, visit www.mcquaid.org/page.cfm?p=1342 or contact Chris Hood at chood@mcquaid.org or 585-256-6169.
