Students gave thanks through service

Students from St. Joseph School in Penfield participated in two service projects during Thanksgiving week.

Kathleen Bergin and Barbara Johnson’s second-grade class prepared, mixed and baked eight apple, four cherry and four pumpkin pies and delivered them to the Open Door Mission Nov. 19. Also, Grace Tischer and Maria Spencer’s fifth-grade classes assembled baskets containing full Thanksgiving dinners to be delivered to two parish and school families.
