Two "Out of the Darkness" community walks, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, have been scheduled in the Rochester Diocese.
The first walk will take place Saturday, Sept. 12, at Craig Park in Painted Post beginning at 10:30 a.m. Another walk is set for Genesee Valley Park in Rochester on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m.
These walks are held annually in more than 200 communities across the United States. Proceeds go toward research and education, both to prevent suicide and assist those affected by suicide.
