Our Lady of Mercy High School, 1437 Blossom Road, Brighton, will host various summer camps for girls who want to further explore art, journalism, music and technology.
Adventure Into Art, for girls entering grades 5 to 8, will include projects in clay, paint and papier-mâché and will end with an art exhibit. It will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 16 to 20.
Journalism Adventure, for girls entering grades 5 to 8, will include writing articles, taking photos, creating a newspaper page and Internet publishing and will end with the creation of a newspaper. It will take place from noon to 3 p.m. July 16 to 29.
Music Adventure, for girls entering grades 6 to 9, will include instrumental and vocal music instruction and will end with a concert for family members. Instrumental participants must have at least two years of prior training. The camp will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 23 to 27.
Technology Adventure, for girls entering grades 5 to 8, will include photo editing, movie making, Web site design and publishing. It will take place from noon to 3 p.m. July 23 to 27.
