Theology on Tap, a discussion program for young adults in their 20s and 30s, is offering a series of talks during July and August at various locations around Monroe County.
The weekly series kicked off July 6. The remaining talks, which all begin at 7 p.m., are:
- July 12: "Should the Church be involved with Social Issues?" with Marvin L. Mich, director of social policy and research, Catholic Family Center, at Johnny’s Irish Pub, 1382 Culver Road, Rochester.
- July 20: "Forgive it Forward" with Mike Sauter, director of campus ministry, SUNY Geneseo, and pastoral administrator, St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Livingston County, at Johnny’s Irish Pub.
- July 26: "Hope for Haiti" with Deacon Kevin Carges, at Don’s Original, 2055 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Penfield.
- Aug. 4: "Women and Witness" with Christina Schmidt of St Joseph Parish in Penfield, at Johnny’s Irish Pub.
- Aug. 11: "Biblical Ethics: The Beatitudes" with Father George Heyman of St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry in Pittsford, at Sheridan’s Irish Pub, 1551 Mt. Hope Ave., Rochester.
- Aug. 16: "Ask Me Why! Catholics and Evangelization" with Barb Swiecki, pastoral administrator, Guardian Angels Parish, Henrietta, at Jitters Café, Southtown Plaza, Henrietta.
- Aug. 24: "God on Campus" with With Nora Bradbury-Haehl of St. Paul Parish, Webster, at Johnny’s Irish Pub
