Priests

This collection focuses on diocesan priests and their ministry within the Diocese of Rochester. Diocesan priests are ordained to serve the people of a particular diocese, often through parish ministry, while also serving in pastoral, educational, administrative and other specialized roles.

Coverage includes news and features about priests serving in the Diocese of Rochester, along with occasional coverage of priestly ministry in other dioceses. Articles may address parish assignments, ordinations, milestone anniversaries and other aspects of priestly life, as well as stories in which priests are prominently featured or serve as significant sources.

Those discerning a vocation to the diocesan priesthood can visit DOR Vocations ↗. Some priests belong to religious institutes rather than serving as diocesan priests; coverage of those communities and their ministries also appears in the Religious Orders collection →.
