World Youth Day is a global gathering of Catholic youth and young people between the ages of 16-35. It is held every 2-3 years in different locations around the world, and the pope usually attends.

According to the official website, “World Youth Day (WYD) is a global gathering where young people deepen their faith, experience the universality of the Catholic Church, and commit their lives to Christ alongside hundreds of thousands of like-minded peers.”
