Owego residents ages 65 or older can receive house-cleaning assistance through Tioga County Rural Ministry on Saturday, April 9.
High-school and college volunteers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help with such chores as yard, garden and indoor work, including window washing. Call TCRM at 607-687-3021 as soon as possible to register. The registration deadline is March 30.
In addition, the rural ministry is seeking donations of used bicycles. Call Norm Westervelt at 607-687-2616 and he will pick up your bicycles, refurbish them and make them available through TCRM to children and adults who need them.
