Catholic Charities and St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry are offering a series of teleconferences on topics related to the 2005-06 diocesan public-policy agenda.
These sessions are designed to provide parish staff and social-ministry committee members with the information and tools they need to implement the agenda. Each session will be held at the diocesan Pastoral Center and broadcast in real time to St. Mary of the Lake Parish in Watkins Glen and the St. Alphonsus Parish Center in Auburn.
The first of these sessions, titled “Ethical Stem Cell Research in NYS,” will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and will be led by Jann Armantrout, diocesan life-issues coordinator. Two sessions in December and March will focus on children in poverty and Africa, and the final session in May will include a preview of the 2006-07 public-policy agenda.
To register for the Oct. 6 teleconference, contact St. Bernard’s at 585/271-3657 or www.stbernards.edu by Oct. 5.Tags: Catholic Charities
