Thanks Mercy sister for ‘representing’ her at DACA protest

To the editor:

I am writing to publicly thank Sister Janet Korn and all of the persons arrested in the “Dreamer” protest in Washington, D.C. (see “DACA supporters arrested” of March 7) . Their imprisonment and fines should serve to shame the leaders of Congress and the Trump administration for their unwillingness to solve this social justice issue. I was happy to reimburse Sister Janet her fine for representing me and my family.

Also, a note of gratitude to Annette Jiménez for continuing her excellent coverage of this and other social issues. Keep up the good work!
